This game is one with a human aspect in the wizzard's pen doing the writing and the talking sort of speaking. The only thing I found overly challening was the picture puzzle that would disappear when you hit another spot. At least this one you could finish. It moves at your pace.

On its own, I'm not completely sure The Wizard's Pen is as good a value at $19.99, but with the inclusion of Mystery PI: The Lottery Ticket, It's safe to say that you will get your money's worth with this bundle.

The Wizard's Pen is a mix of Hidden Object and Puzzle challenges, but the heart of the game is a mode in which you must guess the object hidden in a blank page while using The Wizard's Pen to reveal as little as possible. Mystery PI is pretty much what you've come to expect from a mystery-type game, so expect mostly hidden object seeking and memory-like puzzles.

The production value for The Wizard's Pen in particular is really nice with crisp, clean visuals and fitting sound effects. The hidden object levels are carefully constructed versus the room-full-of-pixelated-slop presentation of most games in this genre.

I would recommend that anyone interested try the demo for the game first before you buy. I really like PopCap's retail releases, as it enables my whole family to play the game without worrying about licenses and activation.
