What computer should i buy for hi definition video editing?

I need a desktop computer to edit hi definition video. And able to run heavy video-editing programs like Adobe CS5, or After effects. What computer should i buy?

Look at an Intel i7 cpu based computer. Any of the core i7 cpu’s should work just fine. The best cpu trade off performance to price is the i7 930. I think the amount of memory and the video card you buy may be more important than the cpu itself. I would go with 8 gigs of DDR3 RAM, at least two 1 Teribyte drives (total, 2 teribytes) and the best ATI video card out there, the ATI HD 5870 or 5870. I would also make sure I was buying Windows 7 ULTIMATE EDITION because it has extra tools in it.
That is what I would get. Now go out and look for computers that meet those kind of specs.
