Do not buy this charger. The model number of my old matched this one, but the amperage was too high. This was not listed on the website. My sister’s computer now does not run because of this charger. It’s completley fried. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER OR THIS CHARGER!

I bought the charger about four months ago to replace the faulty adapter sent with my Dell 1545.
When the replacement adapter arrived, it did exactly as it was supposed to. Charge my laptop.
The only issue I had with it was that it was not meant to fit exactly with the charging port in my laptop, so it would slide out occasionally. But I could look passed that.
Unfortunately, this morning it suddenly stopped working. I’ve tried plugging it into different outlets, but no dice.
So, it gets the job done. It has a very low price.
And it’s lifespan lasted longer than the original adapter sent with the Dell.
But I can’t say I’ll be reordering this one.

I bought this as a “travel charger” for my Dell 1545. It worked as advertised but the plug did not fit as securely as the power supply provided by Dell. It keeps falling out with the slightest pressure which is really annoying. I would not recommend it or buy it again.
In terms of reliability issues — i did not have any problems with that which is more than I can say for the Dell computer, itself! So from that regard, it deserves a higher rating that the Dell Inspiron 1545.

Doesn’t continue charging. The charge light on the unit goes off and on. All connections are tight, tried in different wall sockets. Sometimes it charges, sometimes it doesn’t. I’ve had my laptop shut down on me several times because I wasn’t aware it wasn’t getting a proper charge.

I was very happy with this product at first. But for some reason after ONE month the charger completely stopped working!! To make sure it wasn’t the computer we plugged in our old charger and it worked. So, we know for sure that it is the new charger. The battery pack part of the cord also got REALLY hot. But anyways, piece of crap, don’t waste your money.
