In grade 10 (check your desired uni’s specific requirements, but generally): maths (calculus, stats), programming & hardware (if you school offers it, otherwise just general CIS), english (good english skills are actually highly desired), physics (not really necessary, but useful) + anything else you want.
At uni: engineering intro course (will cover physical as well), narrow down in next course to computer engineering, year after that will be narrowed down for you and you can choose the most interesting aspects. Again, check your desired uni’s course syllabus – it should be pretty clear what to take.
Are they the same: computer programming is a branch of computer software engineering, but not the only branch.
