Question by Bill Sussman: How do I take over a computer on my network from my laptop?
I want to take over two computers on my network that run Windows 7 & Windows Vista. The computers cannot be accessed directly, so I cannot install a “big brother” type of program so I need to do it remotely and free. These computers are almost always on and are both also laptops. I want to be able to see the other computers screen on mine and control the mouse without limitations as to what I can navigate around on the computer.

LogMeIn Free would be a good and free of charge solution for you.

I would highly recommend using LogMeIn. LogMeIn is a free remote access program, that allows you to access any computer across the Internet, for free. Just go to LogMeIn’s website, create an account, and install the LogMeIn software on the computer that you want to remotely control. Then, go on your laptop, log into your LogMeIn account, and you will be able to access that computer, from your laptop.
