Memory is not mix and match.,
I bought this to upgrade my computer from 2 GB to 4. It worked as expected. I use this computer with 64 bit Linux (primary OS) and Windows 7. No problems.
Please do research before you buy. Another users wrote a negative review of this product because he didn’t know that his motherboard was not compatible with DDR2 RAM. This is not PNY’s fault. The reason this is called “PNY Optima MD4096KD2-800 4GB 2x2GB Dual Channel Kit DDR2 800 MHz CL 5-5-5-15 PC2-6400 Desktop DIMM Memory Module” rather than simply “4GB (2x2GB) computer memory” is because only certain types of RAM will work with your motherboard. The important things to look at are the size, number of pins, MHz, and DDR. If you built your computer then this probably won’t be a problem, but if someone built it for you, or you are trying to build one now, take a look at the manual that came with your motherboard or the website of the manufacturer. They will tell you which type of RAM (DDR2, DDR3, etc), how many MHz, how many pins, and how much RAM your motherboard is capable of handling (mine is now maxed out at 4GB). If you bought an HP or Dell and are looking to increase RAM, visit their websites, look at your manual, or just type the name of the computer + memory upgrade into Google (example – “Dell Dimension 3000 Memory Upgrade”).
Another thing to consider when you upgrade is your power supply. If you put in your new RAM and the computer no longer starts (maybe the fan spins but nothing shows up on your screen), don’t assume new RAM broke your computer. You need a larger power supply. More RAM needs more power. When I upgraded I had to swap out my 350 watt power supply for a 400 watt. I’m about to add a video card and blue ray player so I ordered a 550 watt PSU along with them. For a decent inexpensive power supply, I like Diablotek.

Good RAM,
Put ‘em in, turned it on, booted up, work great. Athlon x2, Windows 7 x64, fast, multitasking, a great value!

Great value,
I recently decided to build a new Phenom II based computer and purchased a pair of these memory sticks. For the price, I get great performance. Unless you are using your computer for the latest and greatest video games or any heavy video encoding, a pair of these sticks will fit the bill.

nice webcam,
I got the Kinobo webcam for xmas. In between the kids wanting batteries etc, I plugged the web cam into the my laptop running windows 7 and it installed with no problems. Picture is good and the inbuilt mic works well. Ideal for Skype, Msn, etc. The webcam cam has a rubber holder so it sticks to the laptop / monitor with ease and doesn’t slip. I like the lens cover on the webcam, just in case you don’t want someone to see what you’re doing at the time of the call!!!

Good value,
I have to say, about the easiest electronic product to install and use that I’ve gotten in quite a while. Good quality video and sound, although I don’t think I’m as ugly nor as dorky sounding as I appear (but that may have nothing to do with the product quality and everything to do with me). Worth the price by far.

So-so webcam,
This webcam got really good reviews so I figured I should try it out. However, I was very disappointed by the results. The picture that i get from it seems really awkward and for a lack of better word–CHEAP. I’m not pleased by the angles of the camera or how it delivers my picture to the other viewer. I webcam all the time since my boyfriend lives far away and I’ve been using a Logitech webcam for a long time so I decided to try something else….
I’m not too excited about this camera and am still debating if I should return it or not since I need a webcam right now and haven’t been able to get a different one. The first time I plugged it into my computer and started using it, I WAS GREEN!! It was horrible and I had to keep turning the switch on the side of the webcam to adjust the picture, zoom, and apparently, an LED light. One other thing is that the base where the camera sits is very loose–it doesn’t give a firm adjustment when you’re trying to turn the camera–it’ll pop right back to its previous spot if you don’t turn the camera with a little more force than you’d probably like the exert. Sometimes I need just a good, slight shift and you can’t do that with this Kinobo. You can’t slightly shift it–you have to SHIFT it. lol.
I do like the rubberized base and it’s a bigger camera than my previous Logitech one, but I do really like that it’s got a built-in mic. That’s my favorite plus about this webcam. But the cons outweight the pros on this product.
