How does skype work from computer to computer?

If you’re calling computer to computer on skype how does it work. What phone number to you use and how do u receive calls?

If you call Computer-to-computer, you don’t need a telephone number. What happens is, you have the person you want to call as your contact (or you search for them using the search facility), and then you just click the green button that says “call”.
You receieve calls through your computer – so you hear through your speakers and talk into your microphone.
If you have a webcam, you can use that through skype, too.
You only need a number if you’re calling a phone from skype.
It doesn’t cost anything to do comp-to-comp, either.
