How do I protect my computer from viruses found on porn sites?

Posted by: kk  :  Category: Computer Question Answers

My boyfriend looks at porn on my laptop. I told him I don’t want him to b/c I’ve heard a lot of it contains viruses. One computer I bought has already been destroyed. He continues to use my computer, even though I’ve repeatedly asked him not to. I’ve even jokingly (kind of seriously, though) asked if I could buy him some videos and magazines so he’d stop doing it on my computer. What else can I do?

    lol block the sites.
or put a password on your computer n dont let him touch it lol.
there are sites i can imagine that dont have viruses but its still never good to take the chance, especially a laptop.

  15. Varasamy S Says:

Use a filter that will lock out porn sites on the laptop.

Then tell him to go buy his own computer.

Seriously, looking at porn – this could become a serious problem if you ever get married . He would be more likely to cheat on you if he has a steady diet of porn.

Suggest you try and stop him now, or prepare for tough times ahead.

  16. Scott Says:

obviously you are not giving him what he needs, just lay naked on your bed and do what he tells you.

  17. Jim Maryland Says:

    1) Avoiding the sites is the best protection
    2) Ensure your boyfriend is only using a limited access account on the computer. Don’t let him have any administrative rights.
    3) Reliable anti-virus software
    4) Regularly update your anti-virus software
    5) Spyware detection software
    6) Regular scans of your system with the anti-virus & spyware software
    7) Disable scripting in the browser

  18. Chris Says:

Get an anti-virus software, that’s the easiest solution.

He is a guy, and will never stop looking at porn. Tell him to get his own computer, or secure yours with a password.

Internet porn will always be more exciting, because there is more to choose from and he doesn’t have to pay for it. Thus, mags and vids are not as good.

I hate to say it, but if you have sex more, he will look less, but he will never stop looking.

  19. 19.09 Says:

redtube.com tell him to use that only its free of viruses lol

  20. _ Says:

One solution would be to use simulation software. This allows you to have an operating system running inside another. So for example, if you have Windows, you can install another ‘fake’ version of it inside. This means that you boyfriend can download as many viruses as he wants and it will only affect/mess up the ‘fake’ operating system which you can delete whenever you like.

  21. Will Says:

Run anti-virus scans, make sure windows firewall is activated and download an anti-malware program. Keep them all updated and schedule them both to run at a time the computer is likely to be on but not being used for anything important (it will slow performance).
