Question by Jbell202: How do I get my computer to recognize my new ipod when my old one is still in the itunes program?
I have had a ipod nano for 2 years and its the ipod my computer recognizes when I plug it into my computer, but i just got an ipod touch and I am not exactly sure how to set up my new ipod. Because I know that one computer only recognizes one ipod. So if you know or have had any past experience…please help.

I’m not sure I understand when you say “I know that one computer only recognizes one iPod.” I have had several iPods simultaneously as well as a few of my siblings, and I have had no trouble synching them all individually or together. Just plug in your new iPod Touch and iTunes will guide you through the initial set-up (naming, what to synch to it, etc.) and then you’re good to go. Having two iPods is no issue, you can synch however many iPods you want to a single computer. I think what you might have misread is that you can’t synch more than one library to a single iPod, that’s true. One iPod can only have the contents of a single iTunes library but you can have as many iPods synched to that library as you want.

Hope I helped :D
