How can I access my computer from a different house?
Question by Mike: How can I access my computer from a different house?
My parents are split and I have a computer at both of their houses. Sometimes I need to get files off one computer so I can work on it at one of the other houses. Is there a way I can link the two PC’s and share files, or something in that manner? One PC is Windows XP Professional, and the other is Windows Vista Basic.

If you are just looking to share files between the systems, you can use Dropbox. They provide an automatic way to synchronize files between computers using a client that runs in your system tray. If you put files in your dropbox on one system, they will automatically synch up with the other system when you log in there.
URL for that is: http://www.dropbox.com/
