Question by drakanamor: What is a good processor speed for a new computer with a dual-core processor? I am thinking about buying a new laptop PC. I want to know if the processor speeds I see on most new computers is comparable to my current computer. I have a Pentium 4 processor now that is 3.2 GHz. I see most of the newer computers seem to be at around 1.6GHz, but that is on the newer dual-core processors. Will the newer computer run as fast as my current one?
